She sits under the shade
Of my favorite tree
Her eyes are closed
And droplets of tears are rolling down her cheeks
She's mesmerizing
She's just beautiful
Her brown locks
Curl around her round face
Her freckled face
Blotted with red
Is still more gorgeous
Than many's
She's gentle with the leaves around her
She's as soft as the petals falling to the ground
Serene and oblivious
To my staring
She's too far away from me
For me to hear what she whispers
But I know her voice is melodious
And sweet
I can't reach her
But I know she's coming for me
I can't see her sometimes
But she's never a memory
She's her
And I'm me
We're an
The sounds of the heavy steps echo
Barricaded windows with paper black
Peering, sees this the eyes of a curious child
Marching in prefect queues
Are uniforms and boots
They march through the midnight blue
Winning some
Loosing too
They walk with clenched fists
Thumb inside with shoulders at par
Praying silently through parched throats
Chapped lips, wanting liquor
Look and see
There are chinks in their armors
Invisible yet fatal to their powers
Were trained hard still they falter
Shooting their father's friend's sons and daughters
Decimation overtakes
Sunlight marks no morning
No light enlightening
Deadly silence rules the grave
First day is when I woke up
In the cold cold cellar
Second day is when the shackles clanged and banged
Third day is when I saw darkness descend
Fourth is the day I forgot
Fifth is the day I ate dead rats
Sixth is the day I cried
Seventh morning is when my blood ran
Eighth night it still ran
Like the dried fluid sticking to my skin
Ninth day is when they prepped me,
Stuffed me for lunch
Tenth day I was torn apart
The beasts were fed
Alongside the shadows bread
Eleventh day I was healed,
I was stitched up and soap was rubbed till the scars could not be seen
Twelfth is the day it happened all over again
Round and round
Oh ho
She walked elegantly
With her head held high
Her eyes were ice cold
Yet warm like the ocean wide
The jewel crown
Once upon a time
Sat upon her head
For she
She was the Northern King's golden wife
Raised in the wild
Her destiny was prophesied
Her rise, her fall
The Seer foresaw it all
Undeterred
She trained
In scorching heat of May
And knee deep in the chilly Lake
Bow and arrow
Dagger and sword
She conquered
Anyone who crossed her path
She wore a flowy gown
Like the princess she was
Yet fought like a nation's son
Like she was
Her brethren looked down on her
So she surpassed and gained the highest mark
Today, her spirit
Shattered glass
Broken on the floor
Crying in the corner
Becomes the norm
Tears fall
Scream out
Someone let these words out
Open the door
See through the dark
Hope for hope
Still get none
Left all alone
Fire's all out
Sheets blooded
Hands blood red
Noose hangs
Heart pangs
Pause the film
Slow down
Loop round and round
Head spins
Falling to the ground
Dead eyes
Gold lies
Realise
Kill yourself
And be free tonight
Save me from this house
I wished upon a shooting star
Family this no longer is
A Dueling arena is what it's become
The strong survive
The weak die
I have everything
But then I have nothing
It's all in my reach
Yet I can't see
A blind man walking
Should be better used
I wish for a home and not a house
I wish for unity and not pieces of shattered glass
I don't know what to do
If I had a disease
Maybe that'll bring them through
One cares while the other doesn't
The lines between them blur
Was it always this bad
It has had to be better
For of this what it was
Flame is less fickle

once upon a time things were
easy, but we don't remember
that far back anymore.
we were all children coloring with
broken crayons and gluing our hands
together in class and talking
when we weren't supposed to, and
it was so easy because
even when reprimanded we could find
joy in little things.
then when we turned 13
they told us things would change and
we wouldn't feel anything (the same way) anymore, so
they took us to a factory and
taught us how to assemble fiberglass jars for our
fragile growing hearts
(expanding and contracting to the beat of our own
jagged rhythms, we used to be proud of them even with their scars but
they told us nobod
Anxiety.
This is my disease.
Indexed from A to Z.
Everything that slowly kills me.
Organised chaos,
as the winter rain runs down my skin.
A symphony of emotions,
coursing through my veins;
crippling all the love that I hold within.
Consciousness soothed,
by candle-light and flame,
not a worry to feed,
as I am momentarily tame.
Anxious words,
stuttered and stunted,
spoken like a warrior,
aware he's being hunted.
Serenity lies beneath the waves.
A solitude fortress awaits,
at the end of my days.
Anxiety no more.
Soon to be extinct.
Soon;
to be rid of your deceptive ways.
Soon;
clearly I shall, be able think.
